in Dubai

Touched down in Dubai 3 nights ago...

The first sight of this cosmopolitan town was lines and lines of orderly orange lights from the tiny airplane window. So so so so many lights just like fairylights lining the xmas tree. :)

Life here is beyond what I expected. Its cold, yet the sun shines so hot it burns your skin. And everything is expensive. Really expensive.

The first meal we had aft touchdown was at a small Chinese eatery, walking dist from our appt, little Hong Kong people, pink lights and Singapore Mee Hoon.

I miss Singapore. And the Mee Hoon didn't taste anything like those I find in kopitiams back home.
